Biografia
Sophie Griotto è nata nel 1975 ad Alès. Ha studiato arti applicate a Nîmes poi a Tolosa prima di trasferirsi a Parigi dove ha lavorato per una grande agenzia pubblicitaria. Nel 1988, ha iniziato a lavorare come freelance come artista di storyboard, cosa che l'ha portata a dirigere film per case prestigiose come Dior o Jean-Paul Gaultier. Ha deciso di dedicarsi all'illustrazione nel 2003.
Le sue illustrazioni si ispirano al mondo della moda, ai media, al mondo dell'infanzia e alla poesia. La donna è un elemento centrale delle sue creazioni, viene rappresentata in tutta la sua modernità.
Sophie Griotto utilizza molto il tessuto, che aiuta a mettere in risalto colori e fantasie.
Nel 2014, Sophie Griotto è stata incaricata della decorazione di un hotel parigino situato in Rue de la Paix.
L'illustratore appare nel libro d'arte “100 illustrators” e in “Illustration now, Fashion” di Taschen.
