“Matière & Contemplation” is an exhibition that brings together two artists from Galerie Deza, Sophie Barut and Eric Robin. An association full of softness, which responds between pigments and patinas, paper and bronze, figurative and abstraction. You will discover a selection of bronze sculptures by the artist Sophie Barut, made using the "lost wax" technique, in partnership with the Adobati foundry. His work frequently explores subjects such as fragility, childhood, balance in life, disability, the vital force hidden deep within everyone, the beauty of friendship and love. She defines herself as the sculptor of fragility, considering that her artistic fragility is essential in this world where omnipotence reigns. The sculptures will be accompanied by paintings by Eric Robin, made in three dimensions, in crumpled paper. Each work represents tens of meters of paper, carefully prepared, gilded, oxidized, painted, cut, folded. Then with precise gestures he crumples and sticks in layers, thus creating a composition in relief, full of subtlety.
