This professional photographer, born in Boignée near Velaine-sur-Sambre, has always loved painting. Although he holds a degree in Fine Arts from Saint-Luc in Brussels, he considers that schools only give the first techniques necessary for learning art. The personality of the artist must be asserted far from any school, to avoid a standardization: "I never wanted to give any importance to my diplomas, I am in a way a self-taught". An autodidact, indeed, but not only in the field of painting: he devoted himself to photography art, he also practiced sculpture, especially that of wood or welded iron.
