Born in Kaifeng, Henan Province, China, Han Lei graduated from the Central Industrial Art Institute in Beijing in 1989.
His work has been collected by a variety of private and public collections worldwide, including Guy & Myriam Ullens Foundation Collection in Switzerland, Three Shadows Photography Art Centre in China and the Ministry of Culture and Communication in France. Han currently lives and works in Beijing, China.
