Biography
Barrientos Rodrigo (1931-2013) was born in Colombia. His oncle, cabinetmaker in Medellin, teaches him the art of wood as a teenager. Painter he has Solo Shows in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil where he settles in 1964. Since Cézanne was his master, he travels to France and Paris becomes his new home in 1974. In Paris he becomes the Master of Xylography or Engraving on wood. Barrientos does research, he loves the variety of woods, the depths of their fibers and plays on them with ink.
