Presentation

Lars Daniel's photography seeks out new narratives and connections. The images from his series Big Sleep are an enquiry into buildings, bodies and photography.

Lars Daniel has always been swept up in photography, taking on a diverse range of subjects, where landscapes played the bigger part. Analogue photography came to an abrupt end when one day burglars emptied his studio. His beloved large format camera was later found in a container bound for Libya. He chose to go with the flow & continue his journey with the digital equipment left behind.

His objective is not to present a story, but to allow the viewer to create one of their own or explore the possible directions of the image and how it unfolds. His photographs could be interpreted as dark or even disturbing as he attempts to scratch the surface to deliver a deeper essentially more visceral narrative. The Big Sleep series is an exciting body of work and we are thrilled to represent it exclusively in the Nordics and UK. All prints are museum quality Giclée prints on matte Hahnemühle paper mounted and framed in handcrafted, dark solid smoked oak frames.
