Albrecht Kadel

Corinne Albrecht is a multifaceted artist.

Inspired by nature and water, nourished by science, she observes, dissects and explores all the facets of painting: its volume, its thickness, its structure, its transparency... A tireless jack of all trades, she finds inspiration in every living element that surrounds it;

“To question the thickness of paint is to give it body through light, it is also to reveal its organic, fluid, sensitive character. Water and transparency are elements that guide my pictorial research both as actors and as subjects.

Often I use supports that allow the layering and weaving of colors; thus between two surfaces to be painted of the same glass plate, there remains a free space where a (e)moving image is formed and deformed.

To multiply in space, the painting emancipates itself from a frontality which suspends the work in time. It comes alive with the viewer's gaze and mobility.

In this perspective, I explore the notion of construction through fragmentary elements whose combination evolves according to the environment (architecture, space, place), circumstances (events, time) or even encounters (human, plastics)."

Klaus Kadel-Magin

is a German journalist and artist.

Trained as a scientist and graphic designer, Klaus Kadel creates structures from photos of nature, which he analyses, cuts and breaks down to form sometimes destabilizing images. It associates the elements between them and makes them communicate. Each structure reveals a principle which reveals another structure revealing another principle… as in quantum mechanics.
