Biography
Isabelle Marthouret Brisset is a visual artist born in 1959 in Paris. Following a training in art binding and gilding at the Central Union of Decorative Arts of Paris, she moved to the city of Aix-en-Provence where she studied at the School of Fine Arts.
The characteristic effusion of colors and odors of Provence, inundates her pieces. The genesis of her work is based on an encounter, a look, a gesture, an anecdote ... which is usually hidden. She uses a variety of techniques to give substance to an emotion extracted from her memory. Each one of her pieces is the result of a process of technical research, reflection and selection of materials ... On traditional or unusual supports, Isabelle Marthouret Brisset, tears, assembles, pastes and reassembles a myriad of processes such as acrylics, oil, inks, watercolor, wax, drawing, oily pastels ...

Isabelle Marthouret Brisset has participated in several major events: International Artist Book Fair in Marseille, "Sm'art", Contemporary Art Fair in Aix en Provence, Grand Contemporary Art Market in Chatou...She has also exhibited her work in galleries, especially in Nice.
