Biography
Nicolas Blin is a French painter born in 1955 using both figuration and abstraction; no known current could really define it. His work is built around different interdependent stories providing overall coherence. Narration, the desire for memory confronted with reality, otherness, are elements which structure his work. Defining himself as a visual artist-narrator, he uses an evolving plastic grammar, where the figuration remains allusive, like an added meaning, and willingly a mixed writing between storyboard and comic strip.
