TieRi Trademark

Far from the academic world, TieRi is a self-taught artist. His artistic career started when he bought an analogue camera. He became passionate about graffiti in1989, and entered this universe by taking pictures of the TDM crew, whose works and materials fascinate him.

He works with aerosol spray cans and all the materials used by graffiti artists. Pots of paint, brushes, rollers and aerosol cans are the raw material in TieRi's practice.

His techniques are deformation, accumulation, compression (he makes works that he calls "incompressions"), coloring ; tools become sculptures and present us a metaphorical reading of graffiti's lexical field.
