Biography
After a multidisciplinary training, Emmanuel Perez devoted himself to drawing and painting. Starting from an abstract shape adopted as a leitmotif - the sphere - he declines and unfolds according to his protean works a search for simplicity in the lines, and weaves relations of space between his internal world and the outside. His practice of drawing is transposed on large format canvases, where vast bare spaces can be seen next to enigmatic figures, as if on the edge of humanity, emerging from a disturbing imagination.
Emmanuel Perez trained at the Beaux-Arts of Dunkirk & Tourcoing where he obtained DNAP and DNSEP diplomas. Born in 1968 in France in Morlaix, Finistère, he currently lives and works in Lille and Marseille where he has studios.
