Julie Legrand is a French artisti born in 1973, who lives and works in Paris.

She holds a Masters degree in design and contemporary technologies with the congratulations of the jury (ENSCI/The workshops of Saint Sabin), a Masters in modern literature option philosophy and aesthetics, and a Barchelors degree in Visual arts (Paris VIII). She graudated as well from the National Superior School of Art of Cergy (ENSACP 1999). Nevertheless it was by herself that she learned how to master the art of glass blowing.

With her hybrid sculptures, she explores dynamic associations and material tensions by combining unusual elements such as glass and sponge. She collects, sculpts, assembles and create from materials and structures that mingle in a constant seach for new complementarities, creating this way fragile and impossing compositions.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous internationally renowed places such as at the Palais de Tokyo and the Maison Rouge in Paris and at the Museum of Glass in Brussels.
