Born in 1971 in Colmar, Eric Herrmann is a French painter. He lives and works close to Strasbourg.
Eric Herrmann mostly paints landscapes, suspended moments, bordering between light and darkness, peace and deluge. He creates an uncertain, poetic and mysterious universe, where each element contributes to make up a magnificent moment, so that the spectator can take over.
The key element in his work is light which allows to create this unique atmosphere which only belongs to Eric Hermann. It might look as if it is monopolizing the spectator's look, though it is highlighted only through the presence of the clouds and horizon.
