Presentation

Born in 1986, Renaud Reine has been immersed in family drawing since a young age and made his first approaches to urban cultures in the early 2000s, when, while training as a woodcarver, he began to explore France and neighboring countries to put his mark on it under his graffiti artist name Homek.

Since 2012, he has crossed European borders in order to share his art in the streets and schools in disadvantaged areas, most often with children.

With a large number of mural graffiti to his credit and an important “pop-cartoon” period on canvas, his style evolves into a more graphic, contemporary approach.

Returning to the basics of the letter, making it dynamic and abstract, in warm settings reminiscent of his travels in the land of Africa.

The tears evoke the different scenes of an illustrated story.

It thus varies figurative patterns, colored areas, soft gradations and the atmosphere of “tagged” walls.
