Originally from Brittany, Maryvonne did her artistic studies in several different institutions where she learned from several famous painters such as Andre Lhote and Jean Souverbie.
In her paintings, Maryvonne le Deist gets inspired by landscapes she likes and she tries to reproduce the colors and warmth they emanate as faithful as possible. For the artist, her paintings are not made to reflect about them, instead, the observer should let himself get carried away with the simplicity and lightness of the composition.
