Edip Yurdsever

The towns, the streets, the buildings, all the landscapes that contain us are the context and the pretext for my photographs.

My eye detects the gestures, postures and attitudes which imperceptibly bind people to their environment. Whatever the towns or the villages, the doors or the windows, the bridges and the parks, I reveal the lives that unfold there, those fleeting moments where the truth of a being springs up and transcends the landscape. With precision, but also humor and benevolence, my gaze captures the natural link between life and what surrounds it.

Of Turkish origin and an architect by training, I have been passionate about photography since the day my uncle introduced me to the magic of the captured image. That same year, I discovered Paris, through solitary wanderings in a city that is foreign to me, and which lets itself be discovered without having to afford it.

After a stay in London, it is in Paris that I decide to study and later, to settle there permanently. If Paris is my main source of inspiration, I also travel around Europe in search of the emotions that gave birth to my passion and built me.
