Biography
Katia Slessareff from the Paris region lives in Normandy. She was born into a family where art was pervasive. Her father was a restorer of works of art and her mother made ceramics.
Human representation and the underwater world appear to be the two problems of his work. Its organic sculptures transcribe the delicate beauty of the underwater world. Between dream and reality, the artist takes us into the mysteries of the abyss.
Her first practice is sculpture, but recently she uses painting as a medium for her work, “Facial work will always be of interest to me because I love the expression of faces.”
