Biography
Marc Hanniet is a French artist born in 1964. He studied science and painting was a hobby until 1987. In 1990 he left his engineering job, to devote himself to artistic expression.
His first paintings were mainly skies and the shadows of the native forests, all this in a neo-impressionist manner, where landscape was recurrent. Self-taught, Marc Hanniet trained himself by visiting Parisian museums. Boosted by impressionist and expressionist colors, he turned towards simple drawing, and Matisse inspired him to do so. Initially attracted by still life and landscapes, animals and nudes have become his main focus since a few years now.
Marc Hanniet is a member of Maison Des Artistes, resident of the R.L. Vibert de Lourmarin foundation in 1993 and member of the Taylor association for French painters and engravers in 1996. He is known by his peers as an exceptional draftsman and refined colorist.
