Biography
Sylvia Baldeva is a French artist who is preparing for the Fine Arts competition in Sofia and achieved her bachelors in France in fine arts and a degree in fashion designing and graphic design.
She quickly specialized in water based techniques, where perception and emotion are the main focus in her artistic research. Her creation process takes place through intuition and letting go, and therefore leaves no room for prior conceptualization. She works on paper, her theme becomes reality due to her spontaneous gestures, allowing her to create a diluted, contoured or airy rendering.
Her work can be placed between revelation and dissolution, therefore leave room for interpretation in an almost dreamlike world. Indeed, her figures are dissolved in color but are unveiled through the pictorial shape which is used. Between figuration and abstraction, the spectator's imagination helps to bring out the figures.
