Biography
Kiddy Citny was born in Bremen in 1957. In 1975 he moved to Berlin, where he lives with interruptions and stations in Switzerland, Los Angeles and other major international cities until this day. In 1984 he began to paint parts of the Berlin Wall with its "heart", "kings" and the motif "world in my arms". His motives are today as symbols of the desire for peace and freedom and for the triumph of unbridled desire.
Kiddy Citny often uses pictograms and epigrams in his work. He's known for painting parts of the Berlin Wall, at least a dozen sections of which were auctioned after its fall in 1989. Some segments are now in the United States.
