Born in 1961 in Venice, Norbetto MORETTI obtains a license at Beaux Arts School of his home town in 1977.
He started very quickly his apprenticeship with the glass-worker Alfredo BARBINI and followed at the same time serigraphy courses at the International School of Graphics in Venice.
In 1982, he worked as a decorator on glass in the manufacture Guglielmo Sent in Murano where he learned the technique of decoration on glass with enamels and golden leaves as well as he perfected his knowledge about ornamentation techniques in S.A.L.I.R in Murano.
When he opened his first workshop in 1992, he became an expert in the classical Venetian work and tried to work by himself at the same time on realization of own parts with pure lines. In 1997, he became the Founder and President of the Centro Studio of Murano and in 1998 he co-founded the revue called “Vetro”.
He taught in Spain at the Foundation of the National Glass Center in La Granja, in Segovia and at the Foundation of Galego Center in Santiago de Compostela.
Since 2003, in his new workshop-gallery in Venice, Norberto MORETTI dedicates completely his work to parts of emotional and delicates design. He is also designer for Salviati in Murano just as for Tom DIXON, Christian GHION ou Ingo MAURER...
Master in the art of glass making of Venice with the peculiarity of the decoration in the gold, Norberto MORETTI works brilliantly in transmitting his knowledge as well as creating.
So his remarkable works of purity and refinement are presented in prestigious places like the Ducal Palace in Venice, the Sofa in Chicago (United States), in Portimao (Portugal), in San Sebastian and Madrid (Spain).
