Giuseppe Galli (Vercelli, 1866 - 1956). He was a painter of genre scenes and portraits (especially of women) with remarkable technical abilities. He had Ferdinando Russo as painting teacher in his hometown and he studied at the Albertina Academy under Biscarra.

His career beginnings are dedicated to watercolor and, in 1917 thanks to his skills he was nominated an honorary member by the Academy of Brera: the Municipality of Milan also showed his appreciation for his talents and bought the watercolor "Eighteenth-century frivolity" for the Modern Art Gallery.

From 1920, he abandoned his job as an employee to devote himself only to painting, in which he also refined his skills in the oil painting, creating refined scenes of the Eighteenth century, portraits, landscapes and still life compositions. He participated in numerous exhibitions, including international ones.
