Biography
Mariana Sánchez is a self-taught painter, born in Mexico City in 1971. In 90´s she ventured into the business side of the art world. While engaged in this work, she had the opportunity to promote the work of renowned figures such as Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and other extraordinary painters. She went on to research about the great artists and to learn about the diversity of techniques and styles.
This awakened her desire to express her own emotions on the canvas. Since 2005, the year she painted her first picture, Mariana has expanded her mastery of the materials and techniques. Her work bursts with color and texture, and she has managed to develop her own style, which defines her as an artist. In her paintings, contrasting sensations and a range of fascinating nuances speak of a deep and exciting inner language.
