Biography
Diana Machulina lives and works in Moscow. She is the icon of the young Russian artistic generation and was awarded the Kandinsky "Best Young Artist" prize in 2008. In Russia, she took part in the most prestigious contemporary art exhibitions.
In France, she is represented by the Stanislas Bourgain Gallery which has dedicated her three solo exhibitions since 2008. Her works have been presented at the Louvre in the show "Counterpoint - Contemporary Russian Art" - in the context of the Russian year in France, at the Maison Rouge in 2007 in the exhibition "Sots-Art, Political Art in Russia",and in Rennes in a collective exhibition organized by the Ateliers du Vent.
She has spent 3 months in residency in Paris, at the Couvent des Récollets in 2011. She has participated in the exhibition "Futurologia" at the Garage Art Center in Moscow, which presented a panorama of Russian contemporary art selected by Hervé Mikaeloff.
