Biography
Born in 1934 in London, Colin Kent is a British artist.
He worked for several years as an architect, before dedicating himself to painting in the 70's. He has a genuine interest in painting landscapes, he transcribes atmospheres of isolated farms, coasts and piers of East England.
He gradually evolved his art and headed towards abstract painting. Due to his style, he is able to accentuate the atmospheric effect, sensations, lighting and colors, rather than just transpose forms and lines. The material and superpositions are the main focus of his work, in order to give meaning and emotions to his painting. To achieve this result, Colin Kent uses mixed techniques, made up of ink, gouache, acrylic and watercolors.
His work is exhibited in several British and European galleries.
