Biography
After studying at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, he was hired as a production assistant in 1971 at DC Comics . He was then hired by Wally Wood to help him on the Sally Forth and Cannon series. In 1973, he began working for Seabord Comics but this publishing house quickly went bankrupt. Kupperberg then went to work for the English division of Marvel Comics 1 then in 1977 for the parent company where he drew episodes of The Amazing Spider-Man , Iron Man , Thor , etc. Later he returned to DC on series such as Justice League of America , Warlord or Blue Devil . He is also at the origin of the first mini-series in the history of comics: The World of Krypton drawn by Howard Chaykin and Murphy Anderson . In the 1990s, he worked in animation. He died on July 16, 2015 of thymus cancer .
