Rome, known as the Eternal City, is regarded as the capital of antiquity and ancient civilization. As the foundation of the Roman Empire, the city has come to embody all that is considered high culture which emcompases art, history, architecture and much, much more. Rome photographs particularly well owing to the richness of its architecture. The soft curves of the Colosseum or the dimensions of the columns of ancient monuments like the Pantheon suit black and white photography in particular. Photography is able to capture the perspective and depth of these momentous structures of Italy’s capital.
