Autodidacte, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle est un artiste expressionniste français né en 1982. Dessin, peinture, collage, performance, sont les languages qu'il explore avec force et spontanéité.
Biographie
Autodidacte, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle a toujours entretenu un rapport émotionnel avec sa pratique artistique : le ressenti est son territoire d'exploration de prédilection. Dès la conception il va là où son instinct le guide. Il préfère photographier sous différents angles de vue son modèle pour choisir ce qui l'intéresse dans une pose, plutôt que d'en retranscrire la vérité première.
Une obsession, les mains. Possessives, fragiles ou puissantes, sensuelles ou encore anonymes, elles surgissent telles des spectres pour capter l'attention et pour donner l'essentiel de la charge émotionnelle de la composition.
Par son trait erratique, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle traque les émotions pour les mettre à nu. Il explore le sensible, l'éphémère, le fragile. Par accumulation ou effacement, l'œil se perd et les individus disparaissent : étreintes infinies, perpétuelles, par oubli de soi ou de l'autre, les traits et les personnalités s'estompent.
Pour exprimer cette recherche, un medium d'évidence, le dessin. Puis la peinture. Cependant même au travers de celle-ci, le dessin resurgit comme une marque indélébile. Saturation, respiration, ses repentirs sont apparents : il rature, efface et souligne son propos. S'interdisant la gomme, sa technique est à l'image de son sujet : incarnée, brute, et spontanée.
