Valérie Lamarre

A passionate visual artist, Valérie Lamarre creates works where the abundance of colors as well as the harmony of shapes and materials resonate with an imagination fueled by her emotions.

After starting out as a model maker, proofreader, illustrator and designer, Valérie Lamarre discovered sculpture and trained for six years in the techniques of clay, wood, stone, bronze and live models (drawing & sculpture) in Marc Touret's Arbre de Pierre workshop.

For twenty years, she enriched her career as a professional sculptor and pastel artist with a role as a visual arts facilitator working with young people at risk in support classes, homes, and prisons. She regularly presents her work in galleries, exhibition halls, trade fairs, and on the web, and also illustrates art and poetry books.

Since 2018, she has devoted herself exclusively to acrylic painting and explored its infinite possibilities by letting herself be carried away by the power and magic of creation. She paints happily, in her own little world, and never denies herself any inspiration. She enjoys using various tools, combining techniques, multiplying glazes, playing with stencils, and learning again and again.

The emotions felt during creation must resonate with the emotions of the audience. His abstract works and portraits invite us to travel into his worlds, to interpret them freely and to let ourselves be invaded by our own emotions.

His works are collected in France and internationally.
