Artistes paysagistes semi-abstraits
Le paysage de Camille Pissarro : Vergers en fleurs, Louveciennes (1872) a été l'un des premiers tableaux impressionnistes à être exposés. L'utilisation de bâtiments et d'arbres pour encadrer les peintures et la capacité à capturer la lumière ou les ombres fugaces des nuages sur une colline ont changé le monde de l'art à jamais. Pouvons-nous voir ce que l'artiste a vu ? En renonçant au réalisme absolu, tout en créant des paysages reconnaissables, les impressionnistes ont ouvert la voie à la couleur et à la forme. Au 20ème siècle, l'art abstrait s'est efforcé de ne dépeindre aucune ressemblance à la réalité. Mais qu'en est-il d'un juste milieu, d'un éloignement du réalisme afin de capturer la vie et la lumière sur le moment, sans pour autant être suffisamment abstrait pour que la couleur et la forme privent le spectateur de tout élément reconnaissable - comme l'art du paysage semi-abstrait ? Comme l'art figuratif abstrait, ce mouvement peut se situer sur le spectre entre le réalisme et l'abstraction totale. Dans notre sélection d'œuvres, des artistes comme Liliane Paumier peignent « la vie elle-même », faisant preuve d'harmonie dans leur utilisation de la couleur lorsqu'ils rendent des motifs ruraux. Convenant à de vastes compositions, l'art paysager semi-abstrait peut élargir le cadre de l'artiste et lui permettre de prendre un instantané de ce que l'œil ne peut pas voir... et pourtant reconnaître - il suffit de se jeter dans l'abîme d'artistes comme Christelle Desangles pour le savoir...
