Vânia Medeiros seeks transdisciplinary approaches in her creative processes and has estabilished a dialogue with knowledges from ethnography, architecture, geography, design and education. For her, drawing is a device to investigating personal and relational processes, which appears in diverse supports in exhibition spaces, in urban actions and in publications.
Selected exhibitions include the solo show "Atlântida" at the RV Cultura e Arte, in 2017; the group show "⦿", curated by Catarina Duncan at Galeria Leme, in 2018; and most recently, in 2019, the 36th Panorama of Brazilian Art: Sertão, curated by Júlia Rebouças. Vânia was also nominated in 2017 and 2018 for the Select Art and Education Award, with the project Caderno de Campo and her work is part of the collection of MAM-SP.
