Lyuben Hranov

Lyuben Hranov was born, lives and works in Plovdiv. He graduated from the high school for stage arts, and then woodcarving at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the last few years he has concentrated his work in the field of painting. He boldly pursues his artistic searches in the abstract and symbolic expression. His works are full of energy, vivid and precisely selected colors to form a multi-layered reality in which space and depth play a major role.  

"When I pick up the brush, I change reality, the subjective becomes an object. I bring out states and invisible spaces. In most cases, I start from a fog until I reach the desired concreteness of the compositional form, rather leaving a sense of image than emphasizing it. Flying is a correction to falling!" - shares the author.
