Maïlys Pierard was born in Toulouse in 1957.
She graduated from the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris and began her career in the world of textiles, which she abandoned for the world of tableware.
Since 2010, Maïlys combines Applied Arts and Painting.
Too many constraints related to the industry have given rise to this need to create much more freely.
Maïlys exhibits regularly in Paris where she lives, and in Normandy.
In her paintings Maïlys seeks to express energy, strength and movement. Most often Maïlys mixes techniques: inks, acrylics and sometimes wood engraving.
"I put in my work all my creative strength and I am constantly moving towards new horizons, possible thanks to the new techniques (engravings, monotypes) and supports that I discover. I am a real enthusiast.
