Sylvain Piget, born in Cognac in 1988, is a plastic painter. He currently lives and works in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
From childhood, he was passionate about drawing, painting and creating wooden models.
After 10 years in Barcelona, rich in various experiences in automotive and design, he plunged back into creation in 2016. Art became the driving force behind his actions and the means of expressing his emotions.
His painting is abstract, intuitive and powerful.
Gradually, this force is cramped on the canvas and the call of the third dimension is felt. He took a new step and made his first sculptures made up of hundreds of pieces of wood. On his 3D works, he composes with shape and color.
The artist is constantly in search of beauty.
Sylvain Piget's contemporary sculptures are the fruit of intense reflection. They are characterized by the rigor represented through squares, circles, rectangles, triangles and spontaneity arising in the expression of colors.
He likes to play with volumes and textures: paint, wood, but also cardboard and aluminum. His universe is deep, captivating.
Self-taught, passionate and perfectionist, he continues to evolve.
