Isa (Isabelle) Cochet is an illustrator, screenwriter, and comic strip colorist. She was born in Brittany and works in her workshop in Rennes.
A graduate of Plastic Arts at the University of Rennes II, she launched into comics in 1998 thanks to the advice of Michel Plessix. She made a name for herself there, in particular by signing the colors of several works, including
Quaterback, Lunatiks, Makabi, Angus Powerderhill... But it is alongside Andreas that she collaborates and produces the colors of Capricorn, from volume 6 to volume 20, as well as Quintos in direct color, from Rork 0 and Argentina. She also works on coloring the comics of Fred, René Pétillon, and Claire Brétécher. During this period, she learned her job as a colorist as well as in her collaborations with other comic book authors, who gave her freedom, allowing her to develop her style through several traditional techniques: watercolor, and gouache. She also acquires the principles of narration and image composition. His collaborations with Andreas in illustration, allow him to have an experience and know-how that serves him for his personal work. For several years, her personal work has developed in parallel with comics: she feels the need to transcribe through drawing, painting, what surrounds her, what moves her, nature, movement, and the living. . His illustrations, his stories will draw on childhood, on the imagination to capture the fragility, the essence of the moment. Passionate about dance and movement, her graphic universe is inspired by it. After working alone and indoors, she also feels the need to share with others, to be part of a collective. She joined the Urban Sketch group in Rennes and began to take a liking to outdoor drawing: she sketched scenes of life in her neighborhood, the market during confinement, her loved ones, cafes, parks, and animals... Finally, she is interested in women and participates in individual and collective exhibitions in Brittany.
