Karine Nicolleau is a multidisciplinary artist who discovered photography in the 80s. A very empathetic relationship with living things guides her in her research – humans, animals, primitive nature.
From fashion photography, which she learned in Paris and then developed freelance for twenty years for a few big names, Karine indisputably retains a fascination with beauty. In June 2012 she created the Yadlavie association for "photography that changes the way we look at illness, disability, aging and values all our differences".
In March 2020, first confinement, Karine turned to painting. This medium, which she discovers, allows her to apprehend the world through an even different perspective and leads her to seek special and original treatments for her photographs and their prints.
Karine Nicolleau was born in 1968 in Rennes, her work is present in many private collections.
