Marie Donnève

Marie Donnèève is a visual artist. Born in 1978, she lives and works in Aix-en-Provence.

Driven by the question of memory, of the trace, of the strangeness of the in-between, Marie Donnèève uses a multitude of techniques to give substance to her reflections. Traveling between drawing, painting, photography and engraving, his creations oscillate and intersect from one series to another.

At 26, she moved to Paris and joined Philippe Comar's morphology course at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, then Gonzalo Belmonte's workshop at the Beaux-Arts workshops of the city of Paris – school Cooler.

In 2017 and 2018, Marie Donnèève was selected and then nominated for the Elstir gateway to Art competition in Saint-Raphaël. She regularly exhibits her work at exhibitions, with galleries in France and abroad and in institutions and museums.

After two years in Germany, she set up her new workshop in Aix-en-Provence.

Marie Donnèève questions and unravels her lifelong obsessions: places, bodies, objects inhabited by their “ghosts”, their history and the possibility of another reality.
