Painter and draftsman

Self-taught painter. He trained his art through various workshops, frequented here and elsewhere, the school of museums, exhibitions, with other artists ...

Accompanied by his passion. Figurative animated by the love of the clean line and the precise curve.

The body is his main subject of work. Whether human or animal sometimes.

A body contains treasures of expressiveness and its language as much as the look that is brought to it is a perpetual subject of questioning, astonishment and discovery.

The body, the fleshly envelope, is the palimpsest where the life, great or miserable, of each of us is written. Because behind the envelope of flesh hides individuals and even in the most raw eroticism, it is the human being who matters to GIER.

The body carries the young and the old, madness and wisdom, hard knocks and happiness.

"The nudity that seems to reveal everything and often very opaque and hides much more than it reveals."

All this work has also led our artist to pose as a model with other painters, and also photographers, sculptors... See the other side of the mirror ...

Its exclusive support is paper. He works in mixed media (dry techniques and water), he uses any material likely to enrich his pictorial vocabulary.

Drawing occupies a large place in his work and words are often present.

Collages of papers are also one of his means of expression. As long as they give meaning to his images.
The effects of materials are made according to a watercolor technique that is unique to it, which makes it possible to work both in the roughness of the raw materials and in the lightness and transparency of the colors.

Lovers of the verb, it is not uncommon to find writings in his works and yet here is a painter who likes to say nothing about his works, or as little as possible, considering that any comment acts as a filter that distorts the senses of the viewer , leads him to lands that are not his own, formats him and helps to intellectualize the work, something he dreads above all else.

The artist exhibits without borders, rewarded by the "prize of the original artwork" in the spring of 2011 during the Marseille critic's fair, whose jury president was Georges Briata.
