Benoit Redard

As far back as my memories bring me, I have always drawn, painted, sculpted. Thanks to my parents, my mother was a jewelry designer and painter and my father was an architect and painter. I have always been immersed in an artistic universe and through their hands I have learned over the years.

Creation is part of my way of life, it is essential for me, both in terms of my profession: interior architect and designer, and in terms of my artistic passions.

I sculpt without a model, because I like the freedom that it gives me, the fact of not conforming to a model, of not having to reproduce line by line, but rather to let my imagination run wild.

I like not knowing where the earth will take me, how far I will push it. The earth is alive, changing, we can even have the impression that it sometimes has its own will.

I work with different materials, clay, plaster and bronze with its infinity of patinas.

The sculpture takes shape little by little, it concretizes my feelings, my thoughts, which by reflecting well can only have this expression for me ...
