Rémy Lidereau

Born in 1979, Rémy Lidereau lives and works between Nantes and Paris.

Artist, freelance photographer and photography teacher, Rémy Lidereau multiplies his approaches to photography. Specialized in architecture and landscape during his training at the ENSP in Arles, this real Swiss Army knife - without nationality - has since adapted to all subjects and techniques.

What he likes above all in the photographic medium is "its artificial side, and all the possibilities we have to pervert it". Influenced by Pérec, Hockney, Courbet, Fellini and Depardon, the seemingly cold universe of his photographs at first glance induces a blatant parallel with that of the “objective” German school. With an implacably precise rendering, Rémy Lidereau cultivates irony and paradox: “I photograph what I find beautiful, or at least what exerts a certain charm on me. "
