Isabelle Del-Piano

Isabelle Del Piano was born in Nice in 1955 and entered Decorative Arts at Villa Arson.

It is during a first trip to Egypt that she will discover the light, so pure, so frank, then the colors: the blond sand which will be the base of the cardboard on which she works, the tinted notes of djellabas, palm trees, then this immutable time that we find in his painting where everything is calm, serene, uncluttered.

Express the essentials with the brush. No detail. The space must remain immense. The gaze can get lost, play on the shape or the line. The vision remains unfinished. Everyone can find a part of a dream, a personal interpretation, become the painter. To these impressions gleaned in flight, it adds little material. Apart from her travels, she has an inexhaustible source: all the stories of writers travelers from yesterday and today bring her their share of images and memories every day. Inspiration is constantly solicited, color always present, the joy of painting too.

Its preferences relate to the Maghreb countries, Africa, India, Afghanistan and recently China with the Kashgar market. She likes to deal with the relationship between man and animal, which allows her to paint a lot of horses, a theme that is dear to her.

She has exhibited for many years in Paris, Toulon and on the Côte d'Azur where she also presents a series of paintings in the south of France.
