Jérôme Dufay

Jérôme Dufay is co-founder of the movement LES COMPAGNONS ARTISTES, a gathering of professional and amateur visual artists of today. It acts for the recognition of POPULAR CONTEMPORARY ART embracing all creation and creators, without exclusivity.

Of Norman origin, writer, self-taught painter, he completed his training at the School of Art in Beauvais (Oise) in the studio of Claudio Locatelli for the study of the nude. He was introduced to painting from childhood by a teacher passionate about the Impressionists and awakened to the pictorial arts by the proximity of Georges Braque who lived in Varangéville-sur-Mer, a village in the Pays-de-Caux, close to his. He had the chance to meet the master of cubism several times, mainly during the inauguration and blessing of the stained glass window "The Tree of Jesse" in the parish church of Varangéville.

He exhibits regularly in Picardy where he resides (Amiens, Beauvais, and in the surrounding towns). Gold medalist by the international French-speaking movement La Renaissance Française for cultural influence, he is also awarded by the Departmental Council of the Somme (France) for one of the exhibitions of which he was the winner in 2018 in Long during the summer exhibition of contemporary art.

More recently, he presented his creations at the contemporary art exhibition in Barcelona (2020), and in Paris in various galleries.
