P4NEL

P4NEL native and creative of Paris, French artist born in 1999.

He began by studying dramatic arts in Cours Florent, then styling in fashion school. It was during drawing, styling and applied arts courses that P4NEL discovered a passion for painting no longer as a spectator but as an actor and decided to devote all his time to it.

His creativity is nourished by his vision, his instinct, his imagination and his total freedom.

The intuitive decision-making to make curves and shapes by associating the right colors with each other allows him to bring out a life and a human soul through his works. It is up to the viewer to read his own story through the web created by his subconscious.

P4NEL eliminates the possibility of filters that smooth and polish and make us all “perfect" for a moment.

In the distortion he brings to his faces and his characters, he gives us the impression of seeing through souls. P4nel shows the character of the people around us by letting us give them the face of those who haunt us. It gives the viewer the chance to see what he sees in the contemporary world.

The quantity of elements that make up the artist's paintings leaves no detail to chance, each color, each line has meaning in the reading of the work, no space is neglected. All these elements are in perfect harmony with the mood of the painter at the time of his creation.

His works also deal with a notion of hindsight. It is according to his emotions that P4NEL takes a step back between each of his brushstrokes to let his intuition decide the rest of his work.

His work is a kind of optical illusion which consists in associating a shapeless and ambiguous visual stimulus with a clear and identifiable element according to the imagination of the spectator, a human form, expressions of faces, emotions.

P4nel wants to develop this astonishing capacity of the human brain to "make sense" where there really is none ".

An eye brings a look, a look brings the birth of a face, the birth of a face multiplies another, all these accumulations of faces and looks leave room for the imagination, for a singular interpretation and appropriation of each through its curved colors created by instinct.
