The concept of the Totem in Frontal

The creative journey of the artist Jacqueline Morandini, who considers herself a citizen of the world, is the fruit of maturation and ethno-pictorial research for more than 20 years, the artist has developed a new artistic concept of TOTEM which presents in a frontal plan to the picture rail, a grammar which makes the synthesis of the views in peripheries, thus presenting a synoptic aspect (optical synthesis) of the other faces where the choice of the colors will still accentuate the evocative process (codified semiotics of the colors ).

Meaning and sign in a new contemporary pictorial language (Totemology):

the artist has created aesthetic codifications resulting from figurative or abstract polymorphisms, ideograms, imagery, from the return to the sources of hieroglyphs and cuneiforms, inviting the viewer to question the meaning of the transitory and fragile character of the human being, of vanished civilizations and our planet.

The Frontal Totem becomes the medium of a collective feeling, participating in an awareness of our environment, of Man and of the future of our civilisation.

The approach of the artist Jacqueline Morandini aims to be intellectual and universalist, in space (Evocation of the Earth, the marine environment, the sky, the depths of the Earth) and in time (Scale of time: past, present, future) in which Man (stylized vertebral column) is at the heart of the action, of the creation of his future, with a view to the development of civilization over time (cartridge: openness to the world).

The Frontal Totem offers the viewer a three-dimensional vision, testimony to a timeless message of civilization on the future of Man and our planet, the artist sometimes hammering this message with inlays of metal or wood plates.
