Biography
Emi is a Japan born artist living in Singapore. Emi's art is inspired by her multi-racial background and exposure to diverse cultures and art. Growing up in Tokyo, and having visited her father's native South Africa from a young age, Emi negotiates and combines minimalist and exotic elements. Emi's appreciation of Japanese aesthetics wabi-sabi including asymmetery, simplicity, austerity and modesty is reflected in her creation. In 2020, her works were exhibited at Bricklane Gallery London.
