David Ferrando Giraut is a Spanish artist who was born in Negreira in 1978. He studied fine arts at the Polytechnic University in Valencia, before graduating from Goldsmiths College. He now splits his time between Gijon and London.
David Ferrando Giraut tackles the subjects of history and memory in his work. He studies the relationship between nature, technology and politics over time, with a nuanced point of view of a contemporary issue, for a historical perspective which is both necessary and enriching. To achieve his objectives, he uses several techniques, including painting, videos, audio and installation art.
