Hugo Garcia Debens is a Spanish artist born in 1980.
He developed as an artist during the beginnings of the Spanish street art movement during the 90s in Barcelona before deciding to put aside everything he learned and adopt a more naive and more simplified technique.The artist not only uses abstract geometric shapes, he uses as well the techniques of collage and assembling.
Hugo Garcia Debens does not limit himself to a single technique, he experiments with graffiti, collage, painting, photography, sculpting, and performance. His compositions are a combination of fine arts and street art, he refuses to be defined by a single style.
A nonconformist artist, he is not interest in repeating but in having artistic freedom and in the diversity of creations. He likes improvising in his work, he is always searching for new practices and methods to get different results.
