Jirapat Tatsanasomboon is a Thailandese painter born in 1971.
He graduated from the Silpakorn University in Bangkok in 1999, he has participated in several exhibitions including in New York and Korea.
Jirapat Tatsanasomboon became known thanks to his talent to combine twentieth century icons of Western culture (the grand classics of modern art or characters from American comics) and icons from classical Thailandese culture (personages of Ramayana) in a pop style, colorful and completely assumed.
The elements of Thailandese and Western culture mixed on his paintings, has to lead the observer to a meditation about the current socio-political situation.
