In her painting, Ksenia Milicevic starts from a number of principles necessary for the existence of a work of art.

First, the quality requirement. Ksenia Milicevic equates quality with beauty, refuting the idea of beauty as personal taste. Beauty based on nature is the objective relationship between shapes and colors. It lies in the deep structure of the work that can provoke aesthetic emotion in us.

The second important factor is the representation of space corresponding to our current knowledge. This space is no longer one-dimensional, but made up of different planes which intersect, overlap, intertwine or act as mirrors.

Ksenia Milicevic also considers that the work of art is not an outlet for the artist's personal demands, attitudes or feelings. To do this, the artist must distance himself from himself. The work of art addresses the viewer. The artist captures the world around us to restore it from his perspective, which will ultimately give the final character to the work through his own vision.

The artist's imprint will be visible in the expression of the work, which will always be unique if it is truly a work of art.
