Salvador Octavio Vicent Cortina was born on December 25, 1913 in Valencia, died on October 20, 1999 in Valencia. Spanish School - Sculptor.

Son of the sculptor Carmelo Vicent.

In 1930 he entered the San Fernando Higher School of Painting and in 1935 he obtained the Piquer pension from this institution, which allowed him to continue his academic preparation at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. At the end of the Spanish Civil War, in which he participated as a fighter, he returned to his native Valencia.

In 1945, he obtained the third medal of the National Exhibition of Fine Arts with a work representing the martyr Saint Sebastian. In 1947 he won the chair of natural modeling at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos by competition and in 1948 he obtained the second medal of the Exhibition of Fine Arts in Madrid with two reliefs "La música profana" y la música religiosa".

He won the first prize for Mediterranean sculpture in Alicante in 1957. In 1958, he received the national sculpture prize and in 1959 the Guadalquivir prize in Seville.
